Library Success Seminars are available this semester anytime online or on select dates in person at the Orchard Ridge campus library. Learn more about library research topics like searching electronic databases, finding good web sites, and completing research papers.

Select from the links below to view an online seminar and take a short survey after each to get extra credit if offered by your instructor. Ask your instructor if extra credit is available for your course.

• Introduces you to library resources and basic research skills necessary for college readiness. 
• Open to all students; no textbooks! 
• Requires placement into ENG 1055, ENG 1060 or higher (or placement into ESL 1011 or higher for students taking the ESL sequence of courses.)

LIB 1100: Information Research Methods

• Become an effective and efficient researcher and library user.
• Select the most appropriate research tools from a variety of library resources for any research assignment.
• Analyze and evaluate information to determine credibility.
• Cite sources accurately and avoid plagiarism.
• Requires placement into ENG 1510.
