Suggested Guide Maintenance Tasks

• Check your guides before the beginning of each semester to see if there are resources (databases, e-books, etc), that can be added or removed from the guide.
• Remove links to resources that we no longer subscribe to.
• Check all links (including links to books in the catalog) to ensure they are still working and linking to the correct content. You may also use the LibGuides link checker feature (see instructions below) to look for and remove links that are no longer active. 
• Regularly collaborate with instructors to review and update course guides.

How to Check for Dead Links

NOTE: Link Checker will only review links that are part of box types Links & Lists, and Simple Web Links

1. Make sure you are signed into your LibGiudes.
2. At the top toolbar, select Tools --> Link Checker
   
   
    
3. This will show you all broken links and their owners. Click the eye icon to edit the link and see which guides contain the link.
