Our e-book weeding project, which began last April, is now complete. Many thanks to everyone who helped with the project. Your hard work is much appreciated!
As a result of this collaborative effort, we've weeded more than 12,000 titles from our online catalog. Titles were selected for weeding based on publication date and usage over the last few years. The vast majority of titles selected for weeding had been published more than twenty years ago.
Though these titles have been removed from Search Everything, they are still available on the EBSCOhost e-books site. Here is a link to the final list of e-books that have been removed: Final weeding list
Films On Demand
New titles are always being added to our Films On Demand subscription. See what's new in April.
May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and Gale is highlighting some its related resources, including Global Issues in Context, which is available at OCC.
From the Gale blog:
Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are prominent in modern-day culture and global conversations. Gale In Context: Global Issues helps compile information from around the world, including primary sources, multimedia content, and general data. There are even user-friendly topic pages for 250 counties. Whether discussing Hong Kong’s democratic movement, the TikTok controversy, or the latest news from BTS, students can find meaningful content updated daily.
Gale and EBSCOhost databases allow researchers to export documents to Google Drive and OneDrive, making research easy to access from anywhere. Here are few helpful tutorials:
