New E-books - June 2024

More than 1,000 titles were added to O'Reilly for Higher Education in June. Visit the O'Reilly database, scroll down to "Recently Added," and click on "See More" to view the latest titles. 

New OER Titles Added

""Several new titles have been added to OCC's Open Educational Resources (OER) collection in Alma. All items in the collection are discoverable in a Search Everything general search and may also be linked to course reserves.

IT Pro Books 24/7 unavailable

The IT Pro Books 24/7 database is no longer available through OCC Libraries. Please direct students and staff to its replacement, the O'Reilly for Higher Education database. O'Reilly provides on-demand access to a vast collection of ebooks, courses, videos and more from O’Reilly and nearly 200 other publishers. Learn more about O'Reilly with this LibGuide.
 

PICO search option in EBSCOhost databases

The PICO search option is now available in our EBSCOhost database search interface. PICO is a format for developing clinical research questions and is most useful in the medical & allied health related databases, though it may be used in any of the EBSCOhost databases. You will see the PICO search option on the basic or advanced search screens just below the search boxes. More information on PICO searching is available in the PDF document below,
